The March 2010 ARCC Meeting is: Thursday March 4th, 2009 starting at 7:00pm at the Asbury Methodist Church

- Indoor Free Flight (Grant Middle School): March 7th, 2010

- Indoor Flying (Montgomery Church of Christ): March 19th, 2010
- Albuquerque Soaring Association - All electric, Old Timer event (1942 or earlier):March 20th, 2010

March Meeting Notes:
- Balloon Park will be closed March 14th - April 4th for a large Airstream event
- Sandia High School to help a physics class complete a small UAV project
- RC flying will be moved to the three north side quadrants: D-5, -6, and -7. A new frequency and flying rules posting is being put
together by the city. Rule enforcement at the Park is being done by folks who work at the golf shop.
- The soccer complex on Bernalillo’s north side is open for helicopter flying
- Open Space’s plan to have a cleanup day at Maloof. On Saturday, May 1st, from 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM, Maloof will be closed for a park cleanup.
Volunteers are asked to be there for this cleanup. Open Space will provide the trash bags for the project.
Volunteers may want to bring gloves and any tools they thing would be useful
- New Members: Jesse, began flying ~20 years ago, stopped, and is restarting with an E-Flite Apprentice.
Dan DeGasporri, has been a long time flyer who builds excellent scratch and kit airplanes
- Erwin reminds us that we need to lead the campaign for safety by example. Always keep in mind the importance of a spotter.
- Steve Moscal won the battery/fuel drawing; Dale won the 40 size Ultra Stick; Anthony Roscio won the white elephant prize - an airplane decorated coffee mug
- Vic Newton brought in his modified, 25 oz, electric Mini Ultra Stick and took plane of the month
- Erwin Hellman demonstrated the use of his wing jig consisting of 1/4-inch piano wire and two symmetric wood blocks to set the height of the wing chord
